Bake Apple Rings

Hhmmmm~~~! Apple and cinnamon, best pair forever! Can you smell the tingling sweet under your nose by only imagining? This is a very easy recipe, you just have to cut cut cut, and bake and enjoy your cup of coffee

<Ingredients>
One big apple (any kind of apple will do)
Brown sugar & cinnamon powder  (optional)
Oil for greasing the pan (I use VCO)

<Methods>
Core the apple and cut to 1/8inch thick slices.
Place on the greased pan, sprinkle with brown sugar & cinnamon powder,  bake at 130degree C for about 1.5 - 2 hrs.

I know! I heard you! 2 hours of baking! Sounds crazy! But the theory here is to "dehydrate" the apple slice with low heat, so it does make sense for taking so long time to bake.

My tips for this simple apple rings, don't slice the apple too thick. The thinner the apple the faster it dries.
Secondly,  I used aluminum foil. however my 1st and 2nd batch were all stuck on the foil and the apple ring got crisped and broken while I tried to take them out. So it was advised to greased the pan before you place your apple ring on top.
My first batch of apple rings was burnt, because it was midnight! And I turn on high heat 150degree C thought to fasten the process and it turned out burnt.
My second batch was undercooked, I baked for about 1.5hrs and thought it should be ok. But turns out still soft and chewy not crispy. But it still taste yummy, just not crispy..
Third batch overall crisped and tasty, but you need to store in the air tight container once cool down, it tends to become soft very fast.

It's yummy even without any sprinkles, you can also drip some coconut oil on the apple, it turns out very aromatic too.

Happy cooking :)
